I'm not sure if im posting this in the right spot its my first time using this site but I haxe a 93 ford ranger 4.0 manual tranny and I have a parts truck that is a 92 auto 3.0 I am wondering if the transfer case will fit on mine. And my axel is an r6 and the other one is 86 was wondering if I could use front diffs or not. That's all please help

The transfer cases are interchangeable, and luckily both trucks have the same axle gear ratio so you can use the other front as a spare, with a 4.0 in your truck you have an 8.8L out back and being an R6 code it's limited slip so don't change that but the other rear axle would work as a spare...

OK sweet thanks for the info it helps me out a lot. Because the front end on my truck is shot like completely. I appreciate the info man

I am also wondering what tranny I have like I said its a 93 4.0 standard

all 4.0L Rangers/Explorers with manual transmissions use the M5OD transmission, it's bellhousing pattern is the same as all 2.8, 2.9, and 4.0L Rangers, Bronco II's and Explorers, the 3.0L engines have their own transmission case casting as do the 2.3L version of the M5OD transmission
