Transfer case swap ?

I have a 84 bw1350 behind an auto and would like to know if anyone knows if i can use that behinde a 87 five speed that has a bad bw1350. Was going to try it this weekend but figured someone has either tried it or knows if it could be done.

Yes, but the shifter linkages may be different between the two. You can swap the linkages though, so no big deal.

thanks for the info just didnt realy want to drop two of them just to figure that out. Guess i sould have posted in the right forum.I'm new to this so maby I'll get the hang of it'
