I have an '88 4x4 ranger with manually locked hubs. I had the transmission rebuilt 3 years ago. Evidently the mechanic neglected to re-connect the 4wd shifter to the transfer case. Here is a picture of what I have. Anybody have a picture of what the the connection should be, and/or a linkage for sale?

From that view it looks like everything is there except for the little arm with a dowel on the end of it that attaches to the t-case. The dowel would slide between the two prongs on lever you have there.

In relation to the picture posted:

That arm would attach to the barb just underneath the wire under the existing linkage (it's actually a threaded rod with a base) and straight across to the left of the u-joint cap.

I have the piece in question easily accessible to where I can get a picture, but my time is extremely limited for the rest of the week. I will do my best.

Oh, and you have some nice floorboards for being an 88, you never see anything like that in Michigan. I'm jealous.

Thanks Captain. I was talking to a co-worker about it Monday, and he said a buddy had an '86 torn apart to work on the transmission. He brought the linkage in yesterday and we just finished machining up a new one. Gonna test it when I get home tonight. I appreciate your offer to help.
