I looked around the site and the web for possible answers already. No Luck. I have a truck registered as a '77 F250 2x but it is a 4X4. A previous owner altered it with a '75 4 speed floor shift, (the ID tag is in place for the trany) and the 4x4 front end. There are no number tags attached to the transfer case, only raised #'s as part of the casting which are C11415 P. A neighbour who is unavailable for comment took those numbers and claimed to have found an on-line source saying this is a transfer case used in monster trucks with 1000 HP engines and is worth more than the truck itself. Any suggestions as to where or how I can find out what the truth is?

Just a regular old married NP205. Nothing special about it. Only worth a few hundred depending on you area. As of factory t-cases it's one of the strongest but not what is called monster truck spec anymore, there is aftermarket stuff much stronger.

Very Helpfull

Thanks for the reply and it is a big help.
