well tuesday i put in a low stall 4.0 converter and flexplate in my 2.8 and a4ld. i went to nc and everything drove good on the way up here. the only problem was on hills the trans would drop out of o/d and it felt like it was kinda slipping. also my t/c lockup manual switch wouldnt work. it kinda feels like the tc is locked sometimes. ive traced down everything and found that i have a yellow wire going to the trans that cut, not sure what it goes to. well anyways my prob is when i first start off of the day the trans doesnt want to go from 1st to 2nd, and kinda revs high. but then when itfinally shifts everything is fine for the rest of the day. what could it be? where i am i have access to a full shop, i just dont want to be on the way back home and have bigger troubles. any ideas on what it could be? sticking governor? what can i clean the governor valve with? brake cleaner?
