trans swap auto to manual...in an aerostar

I have a 92 4.0 a4ld aerostar. I'm tired of the problems with the auto trans in this thing. I figure if i put a manual trans in then the wife will stop telling me to junk it.
I need to know what years came with a clutch pedal so I can get one. then it just a matter of geting a 5 speed from a ranger and bolting it in. already did this swap for my ranger a few years back so I'm not to worried about that part. just gotta figure out where the heck the madter cylinder hides.... don't see a spot on the fire wall.

looks like '91-'94 are the only years that had the 5 speed.

I only care about the pedals i'll yank a 5 speed from a newer ranger if it will bolt up.
got any Idea where the master cylider bolts on?

not sure as i havnt spent much time under the hood of aerostars.

i would imagine it bolts to the firewall somewhere.

but regardless of where it bolts, you'll need the 3-pedal assembly which your only going to get from a junkyard. i guess while your stripping the pedals out of the donor, you can see where the master bolts up...

I think it goes thru the floor. that's the onlt spot where i see a "mounting" space that looks like the master I found online. but yeah I gotta get the assby. so I'll see how it all works then.

I know for a fact that it wasn't just 91-94 because a few years ago I owned an 89 Aerostar which came stock with a M5OD bolted to a 3 liter engine. If it wasn't for the excessive body rot I would still be smoking the tires around town with the thing.
