any one in the Jefferson county, Cocke County, Hamblen County, Tennessee, have a transjack I can barrow for about a week ???:icon_confused:

Thank you

Robert

I would buy one, there is one on CL for 40.00, but I'll properly use it once and it will just sit and collect dust/rust.:annoyed:

Tranny's aren't that heavy...

But then again, not everyone's arms are as big as mine :D

Well, more or less I'll have to do this by myself, and I'm not suppose to do any heavy lifting, in my younger years, I would have just got it up on my legs while lying flat under the BII, and then bend my knees to get it high enough to slide in, Done that a many a time with older cars.

Just a hunch that may be why you can't do any heavy lifting now that you aren't so young.

Just use a 3 1/2 ton floor jack. A true trans jack is worthless without a lift. They stand at about chest height when let down.

hmm, never seen one of them before. If I wasn't planning on getting a lift, I might buy one of them.

I can't do any heavy lifting now is because I had a liver transplant, if it wasn't for that I would just muscle that sucker out, and then back in.

there was one of those on CL for 40 to 60 dollors, if it still on there, I'm going to go ahead and get it, then I wont have to seperate the transmission and transfercase till I get out from under the BII

I think he's talking about something more like this.

It's basically a scissor jack on wheels that you raise and lower with an impact wrench or ratchet.

That jack works great, the first 2 or 3 times, but it gets to be way unstable when you have a large trans on it, or if you still have the tcase hooked to it...The best I've found is the kind that is either made out of a floor jack or is the floor jack adapter that slides into to jack's base

No, no floor jack:sad:, BUT I can rent a trans jack for 21.00 dollors a day:icon_thumby:, and I hope I can take it out and put one back in the same day.:icon_confused:

Thank you
