Trans dip stick tube

I've had a heck of a time getting a dipstick tube to fit properly on my V8 conversion. There is barely enough room between the bell and the fire wall for it to fit so room for play doesn't exist. Any suggestions or has anyone come up with a solution to this problem? Thanks guys
