i was wondering wat a trans brake is and how it works.

Unless you are drag racing the truck you will never need one. What a transbrake does is lock the transmission in 1st and reverse at the same time so the truck will not move. This will allow you to push the gas to get the torque converter up to stall speed so when you leave the starting line you have the most engine power on tap. You will usually see a 1-2 tenth drop in quarter times if you have enough traction. If you have a good engine power braking doesn't work because the engine power will overcome the rear brakes. That is a transbrake in a nut shell.

The t-brake is also a useful way to get another 300-400 RPM out of the same converter. I have a 3500 stall converter and the transbrake will let it stall to 4000 RPM
