ok i was haveing a problem with my truck eating starters so i looked a the flywheel and it chewed up the teeth and i was looking around on the net and seen that there is to be a shim under the flywheel well i took my flywheel off and no shim under it now my question is there are two size shims one is .040 and one is .089 i dont know what one i need for my flywheel dose anyone know what one i might need. the truck is a 88 2.9l 5 speed

has anyone ever put a flywheel shim under there flywheel. i have a brand new flywheel and don't want it to get messed up i also have a brand new starter
