i got a mitsubishi fm146 manual transmision from a 91 ranger and im putting in in a 86 bronco ii i was wanting to now if i should get the clutch, slave cylinder ,flywheel, and master cylinder for an 86 bronco ii or should i get it for the 91 ranger

If the transmission came from a 91 Ranger then it is a M5OD-R1. What motor was in the ranger that it came from. The only one that it will work with is the 4.0.

its not a m50d. It had a 2.9. It has the square tin pan on it.

Really? (not being sarcastic) My source doesn't show the 146 after 1990. It shows the M5OD for the 1991 year and the 146 ending in 1990.

My automatic just went out I would really like to know the answer of my question so I can put the manual in already.

I would hold out for the M5OD-R1 not the FM146.

hears your answer, you have to get your parts from the ranger or a bronco2 88-90 the slave is different in the 86 and will not work with the 146, unless you swap the face plate and the bellhousing off a 145 to the 146, also other probs you might come into is the drive shaft lengths the 146 is quite long compared to others i know i had to get the cv rear drive shaft and the front from an 88-89 b2 to make the 146 fit in mine
