Hey all,
I have a 88 ranger with 2.9L and automatic with overdrive. It has aprox
100k miles on it. I bought it about 5000mi ago and had tranny serviced when purchased. It has ran well up until recently (no problem when purchased I just figured tranny had never been serviced.) It has started slipping recently and I was hoping it could possibly be something other than crapping out. Also, when I had the fluid and filter changed the mechanic said the fluid looked "rotten" but no metal. Is there something else it could possibly be?
Thanks for any input, rangerdud
