Hi guys! New to the forum!

Last week I bought a 94 Ranger with the 4.0L 4X4. It sat for 4 years without being ran. I put a battery in and with a little coaxing it started up! :headbang:

When you put her in gear you it move into gear but when you give it gas it doesn't go anywhere. This happens in all forward gears and in reverse.

Originally it would go in second gear. Now it won't do that. My plan is to cfhange out all fluids and filters and see if this helps.

Any advice would be appreciated!

Thanks for having me!:icon_thumby:

Silly question...(guessing automatic LOL)

You did check the fluid and make sure it's at the correct level?

Failing that.. We are talking 4 years without being run. That's 4 years worth of seals within the transmission hardening. Fluid and filter change would be the best place to start. I'm just saying...Might need some internal work.

Yeah, sorry it is an Auto.

Tomorrow I plan on changing all filters and fluids. Fun little project.
