Tranny input shaft question

I've got a 5-speed Mazda tranny, been standing up in storage for a few years. The input shaft seems to have been smashed in so that it doesn't stick out past the casing anymore and it just sits flat on the ground where as before it stuck out enough to make the tranny tilt to one side when it stood up. Here is a pic of the inside of the bell housing - you can see down inside there is a ring that goes around the casing around the shaft. You may not be able to tell from the picture but this ring is all caddywhompus, like it's not seated properly or something.
Any ideas on what's going on with the shaft and how to fix it?

Front plate and bearing are toast, time for an overhaul of AT LEAST, those two Items, Quite frankly, simply put, rebuild time, as you have no idea of what ELSE was damaged when It was dropped on it's nose.

BTW, this is why you never see them stored that way at the wreckers unless on a pallet. or board with a hole drilled in it for the shaft.......

I got my rebuild kit on ebay. There is one that has the shafts as well as all the bearings. Somewhere in the posts on this board are links to places that sell trans parts. Try doing a search. But you may get someone on here that has replaced theirs and wouls sell you the front plate. Or try junkyard. You might get lucky and find one that the housing is cracked on and you could get the front plate off of it.
