i just recently picked up a 92 exploder and am changing the tranny fluid soon, if i drain the torque converter do i have to put a couple of quarts in and then run the motor for a few seconds and then put the rest in, or can i just put it all in and start it?

There is no drain on the torque.

You can either take it to a shop and have a flush done, or drop the pan/change the filter.

according to the guys at the local AutoZone, if you just drop the pan, and change the filter, you only need 3 quarts of fluid, it you take the tranny out, drain the TC the best you can, and blow out the trans lines, and the coolers, and compleatly drain the transmission and wipe it clean, you will need 7 quarts of fluid.
