Tranny Cooler Leak

I've got an 03 FX4 (4.0L V6, Auto) that's got a tranny cooler leak. It's either the line between the external cooler and the radiator cooler, or the cooler inside the radiator. From the searches that I've done, there IS a cooler inside the radiator, correct?

When I look through the tow hook hole, I can see that where one of the lines (rubber) connects to a fitting, it's wet, so I know roughly where the leak is. What are the odds that the internal cooler is leaking, and not that line? Is it possible to replace that internal cooler, or does the entire radiator have to be replaced? In order to research much more, I have to pull the skid plate off, and I'm trying to hold off on that for a little while longer.

Any information on this would be greatly appreciated.

There is a cooler in the radiator. If it is leaking from that fitting going in the radiator This is what I would do. First clean the area very good I use brake clean then drive and reinspect.If it is leaking from the radiator fitting itself remove the line, clean again. This is one of my best TIPS. Take some close up pictures with a digital camera. With the pics on your computer you can see flaws or cracks in the fitting. If the problem is with the cooler fitting in the radiator you can take the radiator to a radiator shop for repairs or replace it.
