trailmaster kit fitment help

found a used trailmaster suspension kit...its off an explorer but iv heard bad things about these type of suspension lifts because of the pivot drop bracket..

if i keep my d 28 and put this lift on will there be any issues with clearnace?

gunna go pick it up hopefully on sat if there is none!

from the posts that i've came across you shouldnt run into a problem with the d28 hitting the bracket. its the plate drop bracket right?

yep that its! apparently they run into problems on the d35 probably because of how stu[pid big the pumpkin is! i only pan on staying with the d28...unless i can find the right axle for price...

ill see ill check it out and see from there

or just find a duff or skyjacker drop bracket to replace the plate drop bracket

true but then i hear alot about these kits have weak bracketry anyways...might just grab the shocks off the explorer and use my explorer springs then build funds for a skyjacker kit

i just need to put new bushings in the leafs and im good to go...my rear springs are almost flat as my b2 sits now...

yea, the brackets are not the best. i have the RC 4" lift on my B2 and the drop plate bracket has a little bend in it. its slight but i know its there so it makes me nervouse about it. ill eventually do a eb44 & 8.8 swap. but till then ill hope my brackets hold up.

i'd def go with the explorer springs itll help lift the rear and make it sit right with that kit.

it also has complete replacement rear springs in it...hmmm gotta see what he wants for the springs...

im definitally going to get shocks and the brake lines atleast...ill snap some photos and post em up tommorrow when i get back!

couldnt use any of it...93 has different shocks then the b2's...same with the rear! when i checked they were the same....

only picked up the steering stabilizer for a wooping 8 bucks gotta love pick n pull sometimes...the cashiers can be so easily fooled

The front stuff is all the same. It's only the rear that's different.

front shocks where completely different....the b2 is held in by a plate and 3 bolts (2 bolting plate to frame, one runing through plate and shock and nut on other side)

this just had a shock with a bolt running through it.

Are you referring to where the lower end of the shock mounts to the radius arm? That's just a different type of bracket holding the shock. The shock itself is the same (possibly just missing the steel sleeve within the shock bushing, a replacement can be bought from any autoparts store if needed... or the one taken from your old shock and put in).

All the axle brackets, coil springs, etc. are the same exact stuff.

oh yea i know everything else is the same...i just wanted the shocks because they are 4 inch shocks and im going to need different ones once i put in my explorer springs in my b2...2 inch lift give or take and stock shocks....

sadly no part store has 2 inch lift shocks at all

If I remember correctly there was a factory high rider option that had longer shocks and they should be available anywhere. Allan should be able to confirm or discount this.
