I'm wiring up a 6 post adapter to my 2000 2WD ranger and have a couple of questions.

First off, does anyone make a trailer wiring harness for the '00 ranger that I can just plug into the existing tail light connector and will give me my left, right, tail light, and ground connections?

Second, which wire do I need to tap off the brake switch to run to my brake controller?

Yeah, you should be able to get a "T-connector) to tap into your trucks wiring at the rear.

I know the fullsizes have a plug in under the dash for the brake controller, I don't know if the Ranger do too or not. It really simplifies putting a controller in if you have it.

Check and make sure you don't have a 4-wire already at the bumper. Mine did? If not, there are quick connectors you can buy for the brake, turn, running lights.

The brake controller will have to be wired directly. My brake light switch had like 8 wires running to it and the colors didn't match anything I could find in the brake wiring instructions. (they provided some for each model truck on the website) So I just trial and errored it until I found the right wire. Be sure and fuse the power brake wire.

PM me for more info if you want. I sort of do trailer wiring on the side.
