trailer suspension question

I dont know if im supposed to be asking this here, its not realllly related to my ranger..

But i bought a tent trailer last summer, and the previous owner put the leaf springs on top of the axle, which is sweet..but it still has the tiny dinky wheels on it, and during the winter i noticed now one tire is flat.. so im thinking on getting bigger tires for the trails this season.

Does anyone have a trailer thats lifted?? could you post pics of the suspension set up??
or does anyone have tips or explain how to do this?>>
Im trying to figure out the easiest way to lift it about 4-5+ inches so i can fit bigger tires with more tire clearance as well.
And lastly, the trailer itself sits level when its attached to my truck, once i lift it it will obvs have a downwards angle, am i able to just switch my drop hitch upside down to compensate and make it level? thanks in advance

There are a couple ways to lift leaf sprung vehicles. You could go with blocks, I have no idea how they would react on a trailer. Your safest bet is to try to find springs that are taller than the ones on there now. Yes those receivers are designed to work in either direction you just need to flip the ball over.

Blocks would work fine in a trailer. I myself would find springs with a higher arch and more leaves. I take it these springs are eye/eye, not slipper springs? Either way, they are available. I have about 200+ different trailer springs in my book here at my shop.

i really dont want to get new leafs, theres nothing wrong with mine and they are only a year old.. i was thinking more of a shackle kit? or something custom i have a welder. mabie extend the mounting brackets so they sit lower and get more clearance that way?

You can just make those out of plate steel. Those bolts are splined at the head with grease fittings. Just re-use them.

You can do that just gusset the crap out of it.

You dont want to "weld" those shackles lol. Get/make longer shackles as well as taller equalizers if it's a double axle trailer.
