i had to take my class II draw tite trailer hitch off while putting my lift on. anyone know what to torque it to? when taking it off, it seemed like about 60ft/lbs.... it uses those "j-nuts" (the same that hold the bed to the frame. i dont know how exact it has to be, but i dont want it to fall off when i go camping.. thanks in advance.:icon_cheers:

just tighten it down tight. these arent head bolts your dealing with.

thanks again! i just didnt want anything to break, those j nuts look easy to strip out.

You probably got a chart like THIS with your torque wrench. Pretty handy.

my torque wrench didnt come with a chart like that...that is handy.

Here's a couple relevant pages from mine. I think it's better. It has metric for one thing. More useful fastners too. I had to make it under the 100K limit so it's not great. I could send Jim a full-size scan for the tech page.

I'll just throw this info in here if anyone comes back to look it up. From the Hidden Hitch Installation guide:

Tighten all ½” GR5 fasteners with torque wrench to 75 Lb.-Ft.
