owned the s10 for less than a week that I bought for $180. three days later I put it for sale for $500. Saturday trading for a 95 SHO.. are these cars worth it? I must say they're ugly as shit

manual or auto?

If it's a manual I'd go for it. Auto.....meh

though I guess if you've only got $180 involved then yeah it's probably worht it. But if you really want one I'd hold out for a 5 speed.

it is auto, but i figured the value is way more than the s10.. hell I may even swap it, if I like it or not.

Those SHO taurus'...auto or not... can really scoot. Theres a V8 SHO that stops in my work from time to time (3.4L) and that thing is a BLAST to drive, and its an auto. Put brakes and balljoints on it a few months ago and got to take it on the highway for a test drive. Insta-woody.

If Jessica Alba had four tires for boobs and buttcheeks, it'd be named the SHO. They're sexy beasts.

$180 S10 for an SHO? Heck yeah sounds like a deal to me.

I usually figure anything that is running and can be driven with no work done to fix it is worth at least $1000, so less than that it's a good deal.

Ya those Yamaha motors look flipin sweet! Im assuming ur getting the older V6 model. They do look ugly but they can still haul

those yamaha 3.0's are screamers, they fly!!!!!! id do it in a heart beat. either way, your ditchin a Cheby for a Ford, cant hardly go wrong there!!!!!!!!!
Beef

Some of those SHO's were actually faster then the mustangs of the same yr.

ive heard the timing gear that is pressed on to the cams lets loose eventually, i delivered a pizza to a guy who had 3 of them, when i asked him about them he said all the v6 shos will do this eventually. i love em myself but the reliability factor always bugged me using it as an only car

There were some mechanical issues with the V8 SHO's, but I've never heard of anything like that with the V6's. They're actually very reliable, although they do have a fairly expensive maintenance schedule.

Just avoid the early m/t cars with the cable operated shift linkage. Those are just a nightmare waiting to happen.

the v8 SHO is crap.

a '95 ATX will have the 3.2 V-6. they are very good cars, but very expensive to maintain. make sure you know what your getting into before you trade it.

the valves are manual lash adusted. special tools and shims are required to adjust them.

your looking at a few hundred dollars in gaskets just to get to the timing belts, which should be replaced every 90K.

the automatic transmissions suck. you'll likely be replacing it in the near future (an MTX swap is a good investment).

they eat motor mounts, control arm bushings, and crank sensors.

the bodys rust and leak water...especially in the trunk area.

the climate control buttons fail CONSTANTLY.
