ya kno i was thinkin of that, but my ext cab is a 4wd, i wonder if it would be alot of work to make it a 2wd

In a pinch just put the tranny and driveshaft in your truck and leave the front axle alone... I got a 4x4 '86 donar for my truck (had a light front hit) for $300. I have had its tranny in this truck longer than the tranny that came with it, knocking on wood it still works great.

I would say keep the ranger, get a 4wheeler thats in pretty good condition (aka need a simple fix the previous owner doesn't wanna deal with) then trade it for a nice car, my friend got a 02 or 03 Crown Vic with custom rims, paint, exhaust, and a stereo for a wheeler he got for like 1000$ sold the car even after he rallied it for 9,000$.

this is my buddys 64 stang, straight 6 and a 4 speed. i am in love with his car and id love to own one.
