I traded a 2006 Ranger XL (3.0 V6/M5OD) and $8,500 for a 2007 Ranger XL (2.3 Duratec/M5OD) and a 2010 F-250 XL (6.4 PSD/ZF-6); in a swap of fleet vehicles, I wanted better, gas mileage and a fun project---what are your thoughts? Oasis reports and Car Fax reports were run beforehand; nothing was sought blindly.

I think you basically got a F250 for 8500 bucks...which in this market if its got decent mileage and is in good shape is a steal.

The 6.4 has alot of DPF/DEF whatever issues but this can be "taken care" of for a few grand and a handshake.

Massive score on finding a 2010 with a manual though...that was the last year for a stick shift ford fullsize. The F150 quit using them in 08 IIRC.

As for the ranger....if both were in equal shape you basically traded for the same truck with a bit less power but considerably better fuel economy.
