So I found a stock 85 track loc on Craigslist for 120$ I need a locker for my front full width HP 44 that I'm swapping into my B2. Any one have any experience with these? Are they any good off road?

not worth $120. Just weld ur diff.

And it ain't a locker. Just a limited slip which is pretty much useless.

You could probably find a used lockright for around that price.

Not gonna weld my front diff. Especially on a rig I drive on the street. Also a lockright won't do me much good without a carrier.

If you need a carrier, just buy a full carrier locker to put in there.

If you buy a trak-lok carrier or open carrier, then all you can do with that is a lunch box automatic locker, or welded spiders, or open.

$120 seems steep for some old sh!t to me.

So if I am going to buy a full on locker would.it be better to have in the front or rear? Eventually I would like to have both but these things ain't cheap. I already have a track loc in the 8.8 that im swapping in the rear.

you are not going to weld your front? you are going to have hubs on your hp 44 right? when you are driving on the road the hubs will be unlocked and the welded diff will not affect your driving in any way. Anyway I am up in payson and I am almost done with my sas with a hp 44.

Yeah ill have hubs but there's no need to have a fully locked front end all the time when in 4wd. Anyway i have would have to buy a new carrier to run the 5.13 gears so I might as well buy a locker of some type.

I am running 4.56s and a lockright i scored it for free in a junkyard diff BONUS!!!!!!!
