I'm at the point in the SAS that I am trying to mount my tracbar bracket. The motor mount/ torque dampener thing is in the way is the way. It looks like a black mini shock. How important is it and does it need to stick around? It is cramping my style here. In this picture my steering is cranked all the way to the left and buckets are 1" forward.

I removed mine on my 91 ranger. On my 93 explorer, it didn't have one. The 4wheel ABS box mounts using those bolts so they can't put the shock on. All the 4.0's have a lot of engine shake at idle, the shock was an attempt to soften the vibrations in the truck.

you can remove the little shock thing with no worries. its honestly pointless; fords attempt to band aid vibrations.

good luck, my track bar mount was a b!tch!!!......but i stretched my wheel base 3" forward.

Good to hear. I pushed it an 1 1/4" forward so not as bad. Thanks guys, ill get that POS outta there.
