Toyota Suspends Production of Recalled Vehicles

Ford, make your move... bring us a new Ranger asap!!!

a friend of my brother has a 08 tundra, o told him not to ride with him on that shit ever again!

Their not the world's No. 1 automaker for nothing!:yahoo:

Agreed, they sure are not a Chrysler! At least Toy is fixing it, this will cost them tho, however better than building a shitty product and ignore the problems!

The Tacoma is not affected..... so how would a new Ranger be Ford's "move"

I have never had a problem getting Toyota to stand behind their product. I was at the Chrysler dealership today returning parts I no longer need (ball joints and Tierod ends) and got into it with a salesman over the whole rust thing ...... he called me a liar and all kinds of things .... whipped out the netbook and showed him the link that oil patch posted in another thread about Chrysler ....... I have been asked to never return......

r ....... I have been asked to never return......

But why would you want to?

And Ford's move needs to be to push the Escape, Focus, and Fusion since the Rav4, Prius, and 1/2 the Camry models are off the market for a few months.

he would go back to get more parts to fix the minivan he has. and since its a recall for a safety problem, dont expect them to sell vehicles like hot cakes, some people will drop the trust in toyota, and if the new ranger comes by, whit his American pride, his great mileage and the reliability it always had, well it might take some toyota territory

i think it shows that Toyota's might not be as reliable and all that as everyone thought. it is good though that they are getting it straightened out. public opinion of Ford though has been going up ever since they were the only ones to not take bailout money and more and more people are figuring out how reliable they are.

I got into it once with a salesman at a Cheby dealer about how my old rusty lifted explorer could out wheel any of the new $40,000 suburbans he had sitting on the lot. His argument was basically "but it has a nice big V8 and 4 wheel drive, so it HAS to be better......" I left right before he was about to punch me in the teeth.

I would be much more inclined to go buy a new vehicle if I could deal with a salesman who actually knows a thing or two about what he is selling. The problem is that the guys that know anything end up in the dealer's shop fixing the used cars. The guys that are too stupid to fix cars end up selling them :icon_confused:

mmmmm in the A.F. we call this an emergency TCTO....... oh yea you look and go ah shiz and that has been like that forever haha

i would simply ask to talk to e tech...

But we don't always want to talk to you.

Just kidding man. I usually take the time to talk to customers and explain things. I've found that not only does it generate repeat business for the shop but it also gets them to come in and ask for me to work on their cars since I've displayed my knowledge of the car and my ability to fix it. Some guys will not talk to customers though, and I understand that too.

I've been saying it for years, but not many people seem to get it.... Auto tech is a MARKETING job. You need to sell your particular skills and service to some people.
