yeah ive known people that have cars with that type of trans and they never had used it.
a good safety device for those fancy intelligent rides would be that when u press the brake with a determined pressure and for a determined time the ecu automatically start down grading the trans and releasing the gas, even if the gas is at full throttle.
some european cars trigger the hazzard lights automatically when full braking.
got what i mean? like a panic stop procedure. it can be done, stability and traction controls work in a similar way by retarding ignition and slowing rpms to retake wheel control.
with the amounts of cash people pays for those death traps this would be a must- considering how easily they can catch speed and the type of people driving em
I agree completely. And with so many more new vehicles going to drive by wire, you don't need a special spark retard sequence and stuff to get the PCM to shut the engine down, just have it shut the throttle plate and do like a normal engine when the plate is shut- idle.
