Toyota Recalls 2.3 Million Vehicles

yeah ive known people that have cars with that type of trans and they never had used it.
a good safety device for those fancy intelligent rides would be that when u press the brake with a determined pressure and for a determined time the ecu automatically start down grading the trans and releasing the gas, even if the gas is at full throttle.
some european cars trigger the hazzard lights automatically when full braking.

got what i mean? like a panic stop procedure. it can be done, stability and traction controls work in a similar way by retarding ignition and slowing rpms to retake wheel control.
with the amounts of cash people pays for those death traps this would be a must- considering how easily they can catch speed and the type of people driving em

I agree completely. And with so many more new vehicles going to drive by wire, you don't need a special spark retard sequence and stuff to get the PCM to shut the engine down, just have it shut the throttle plate and do like a normal engine when the plate is shut- idle.

Bmw doesn't sell enough cars to get the huge numbers on a recall. I had an M3 that was plagued with"TSB's". They wouldn't issue a recall because that's admitting fault. A TSB though, just says that this is a repair procedure IF you encounter a problem.

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!:icon_rofl:

useless jap junk. :thefinger:

hahahahaha yea considering toyotas are made in america more than 70 percent of tundras and camarys and every other car on the list you should be saying useles american junk.

yeah, but at least they dont get the funny accelerator disease

Mine had a bad problem with the accelerator. If you hit it hard, you would destroy tires and the hopes and dreams of aspiring boy-racers.

No one will admit that Toyota's only problems seemed to start when they moved production stateside.

Glad I'm not the only one who picked up on that... When Toyota first began moving production here they had a joint venture with GM called "NUMMI" and shared a factory with them. I think toyota caught a little bit of crappy car syndrome from them being in a room together :)
