I'm picking up a 94 Mazda B4000 with a tow dolly on Wednesday. It has dash controlled 4x4 and automatic hubs. I'm loading the rear wheels on the dolly and it will be rolling on the fronts. I'm not foreseeing any problems in doing it this way, but I am unfamiliar with this type of 4x4. Am I doing it right?

Welcome to TRS :)

Should be fine if its an automatic in 2WD with rear wheels off the ground and front hubs unlocked
Remember to tie off the steering wheel, I don't trust steering wheel key lock 100%

If a manual trans you could just put it in neutral 2WD and tow it by front wheels off the ground

Put the front wheels on the dolly and disconnect the rear end of the driveshaft. Wire it up to the bottom of the truck.

It will tow a lot better with the front on the dolly. It only takes a minute to unhook the driveshaft.
