tow hooks?

Would make sure that the bolts that hold them on are stronger than the hooks. I don't know about you but i would not want a bolt to snap and hit and kill or injure some one and then have to hope your insurance covers them for that one.

I had a set of the ones like posted from jcwhitney on my 94 ranger, but i got mine from like runnings or tsc. I had to buy different bolts just make sure they are the same size as the holes in the hooks and they are grade 8 bolts. I used them a lot and never broke a hook or bolt.

ive got a few factory tow hooks from a couple of S10 blazers. being that a S-blazer weighs about 1,000 punds more than my truck, i figure they would do the job on the ranger. ive yet to put them on though.

Those tow hooks are what you see on road race cars that get stuck on wet grass, in the sand pit or just lose power, sure not meant for a truck in deep.

There ya go:icon_thumby:

I see way too many of those on civics around town that have never even been to a track parkinglot

those tow hooks are not gonna be strong enough for anything except dragging a civic out of your way. Things that are marketed as a universal application usually never are.
