I was wonder if anyone knows what height is suppose to be on a 00' ranger xlt sport.I was going to do the crank up method to give it a nicer look but as i have been reading people want to do this to put on 265's....hmmmm that's what i have on already so maybe the last guy cranked it up already???how do i tell how much it has gone up and if it is too much already.....

oh yeah where could i find a set of shackles to lift the rear a bit up here in Canada and if not south is cool too(exchange sucks right now)?

Look for the Belltech 6400 shackles, they are a drop shackle for a chevy, but they work to lift a ford 1.5-2"

I bought mine on ebay. Shipping to Kelowna, BC cost me about $20 + a $20 customs brokerage fee to pay UPS when they delivered. All in all about $60-$70 in total.

Thanks Chris i'll check it out:icon_cheers:.....were they hard to replace?rusted or replace bushing?i am over here in Sask. so rust might be a problem...

now does anyone know anything about the syock ride height or what to look for if i am maked out already or how high can one go on the front?

Well, I was putting them into an 07 so rust wasn't an issue for me but they were very easy to install. Took me about half an hour per side.

I grew up in SK so I know exactly why you're worried about rust. I'd recommend soaking the bolts with penetrating oil for a couple days before doing it. the space is bit cramped under there and your knuckles will thank you for it.

The max height you can go to will be determined more by your cv angle then an actual specific height.

Here's a couple threads with some info you should find helpful:

I have the numbers for my ride heght when the truck was stock out in the truck. I'll dig them out at lunch for you, but I don't how much numbers from an 07 would help for your 00..

Show us some pics!

nice, thanks......i'll look at the angle when i get off work and then i'll check out the bolts to see how much they are turned up.should there be much of the threads showing?...i'll also get some pics happening too

woohoo!!!!!gas is now 96.9:yahoo:

It's tough to say how much bolt should be showing, after my crank the p side is almost all the way in and my d side I replaced so it has lots of thread showing.

I just cranked mine all the way up today. I got 2 1/4" of lift. So far so good, no funny sounds or anything. I took it down to Les Schwab and they said I could fit 285/75's with out rub. we will see about that. At stock height I had 265's and they fit no problem. I have an 03 so your 01 is probably the same exact setup. Correct me if I'm wrong. At stock height my d side bolt had about an inch or so of thread showing. P side hung down "like a plow". If yours looks the same , it's most likely factory height.

Hey Chris

You were talking about how you don't like how your 100mm bolt sticks out. As you know, that could be bad if you bottom out. I have an 80mm on the way next week that I don't need. If you want I could send it to you free of charge. I would hate to see a fellow ranger dude suffer from a broken t-bar bolt.

Really? That would be handy... I'll pm you my address and I'll owe you a couple of beers if you're ever in my neck of the woods..
