hey all i have been thinking about cranking the bars on the ranger i was looking for a little input on the matter. if its worth cranking them or if i should just get a leveling kit. just looking for some fellows that did it and what your opinions are on the matter.

go for it just dont go to crazy, i cranked mine to but bigger tires and i like it. Just get a alignment after to make sure you dont wear out your tires.

Big "NO" on the leveling kit. Crank the torsion bars.

i dont mean t sound like an idiot but how do you crank em? grab a wrench and go for it or?

I may have went alittle overboard with mine but I got 3 1/2'' of lift in the front and have no difference in ride the front of the truck was actually higher then the back so I went to discount auto and bought for $30 a set of 3'' blocks and put them in place of the factor 2'' blocks in the rear now my truck sits level again and looks like it has a lift on it everyone asks me if I do. Now Im just waiting on finding a set of rims to put the 32-11.50-15 rims that I just picked up. Id for sure go for it I was skeptical but Im really glad I did its a cheap way to get alot of look.

I've also been thinking about doing this. I hear it voids your warranty though? Would it be better to wait until its up or risk it?

I cranked the hell out of my t-bars...... driver side is maxed then backed off a 1/4 turn, passenger side didn't recquire as much.

just needed longer bolts $4.76 from fastenal grade 8s, didn't hurt anything other than down travel, well worth making my truck look right.
