What is the lbs for the two wheel bearing nuts that are behind the hub. Mine came loose on my ranger and i got he large socket to tighten them and i am having trouble find the torque spec. Help....thanks
thank you. I think that the double lock nut flange set up without the clevus pin is a poor design. I now know that it aint cool having a 33in bogger going ever witch way but straight, thanks again
Yeah, as Wicked said the book spec is 150ft-lbs on the outer nut, but it's nowhere near enough.
I run the inner nut down to 35 ft-lbs, spin the rotor a few times, back it off a half-turn, retighten it to 15 INCH-lbs (hand-tighten it with the socket), put the locking washer on, then tighten the outer nut down to 225-250 or so ft-lbs. Never had one come loose on me (running 35s).
Tighten the nut down to 35 ft-lbs, spin the rotor a few times, back it off a half-turn, re-tighten it to 15 INCH-lbs (hand-tighten it with the socket), loosen to fit the cotter pin.
