yessir, i forget which wire, mine has been done for a while now, but if you search for it on here it will tell you, its just a switch to ground the lock up wire

would the wireing be the same for a 2000 explorer with the 5r55e?

From what I just read you can go one step further on the lockout switch using a ground run it thru a dual brake switch. I know my jeep has one for the cruise. one side is open for brake lights and the other is closed for the cruise when you touch the brakes it will unlock the converter or open the circuit.

The O/D lockout has two wires one is hot all the time the ignition is on and the ground is what you switch. You can also put a light in line to the ground wire to show you it is on.
