I sent the email. I suggested they us the european Hilux vs the US-spec Ranger, in a kind of America vs. the World competition.

At face value, it would seem like the Hilux would completely dominate the Ranger, but I think you might be surprised at how well the little truck holds up.

Don't get all worked up! I will have my own opinion. Unlike you I am open minded to other makes - I drive a Ranger 4x4 and I do like it, but that doesn't mean I don't like anything else. Just because something is not a Ranger doesn't make it a pile of shit. Have you ever driven a Tacoma, or owned a Honda?

Its getting really annoying you can't start anything with the words Ranger and Toyota in the same thread without a ton of people just arguing! All I wanted was to start peopel sending emails saying do a Ranger vs. Toyota thing for your show... and people start arguing about weather toyota or rangers are better. to you guys I sa STFU AND GET EMAILING!

I don't think the American ranger really stands a chance atleast not if they use a newer one (no offence to newer ranger owners) it has many things against it including all americas regulations and rules bringing it down. Not to mention they seem to have a thing for hatin' on american things. lol Maybe an older pre 98 ranger or an 01 - 05 or whatever.

Personally over here the ranger is my favorite truck, my 84 is so much fun to drive... I don't know why but it is. But I really love European engineering those trucks kick butt! and Both the ranger and toyota are completely different over there from here. Both which I would be proud to own. In American vehicles I'll stick with my Rangers though.
