Top 10 tools

Alright, one more question, this one for Southern: what'd you have in your truck when you rolled? I'm just wondering if anything turned into a projectile...

Umm there was a 2x4 in the bed, 3 bags of trash from the party so there was glass everywhere, some of my Cds got scatterd, and my left shoe was under the truck when it got flipped back over.

Oh yeah, thanks, I guess I remember reading that.

Yours look like its a street truck I might suggest a pocket bike with some gas to carry in the bed.

can anyone esplain how to post pics?

Technically, every socket is a tool, so it's kinda silly to list the "top 10."

I said 10 because then people wouldn't type a list 400 tools i just wanted to see what people thought was esential but you can put more

and i have no clue how to post a picbut hopefully someone can explain fer ya
because you got me damn curious as to what the picture is with the little info ya had

thanks

can't wait to see what gets added to the list

FYI, I have 31s on an Exploder, and have used the stock jack in a pinch. It works just fine, but I wouldn't want to try it on the trail.

Yeah Mine is really small though cause last time I tried it it didn't want to go up to the axle tube barely lifted it off of the ground under the pumpkin head (no i didn't do anything with it lifted like that). I think it just doesn't work right like not enough fluid or something. I also wouldn't trust them to lift up my truck even on a flat road. What type of jack was in your Ex MAKG? (Bottle ,or Scissor or whatever its called)

A must have in any kit is a long reach flexible magnetic pick up tool
Anyone who has dropped a nut or small part/tool in the dirt knows that a $5.00 tool will prevent the pain in the gluteus maximus

man thats a good idea glad you said that before i lost something i'm stuck like that all time but i'm always at home or the shop so id on't worry about but thanks honestly

One tool you will want is an 8mm or 5/16" 12pt wrench for disconnecting the front drive shaft. When you break a front axle or that weak-assed front u-joint strap, you will need it to remove the front drive shaft. Without it, you will have to try extracting yourself from the trail in 2-high. Not fun or easy on the clutch. Another "specialty" tool you will want is a front hub wrench. Wheel on!

I usually only keep cheap stuff like ratchet straps and a small gas can in my tool box because my dad lost the keys to it. In my extended cab I always carry a battery impact gun with a cheap deep impact socket set, a multi-bit screwdriver, and a scissor jack with the 19mm hex head on it so that I can use the impact gun to operate it. I also usually carry my tools for work with me at all times which consists of several screwdrivers, wire strippers, needle nose pliers, portable soldering iron, a computer keyboard, and several other little items. So i'm guessing that if I blow out a tire and it whips around and takes out my taillight wires then i'd be fully repaired in no time.

use a scissor or screw jack. I've had several hydraulic jacks let me down when I needed them.
