I want to keep the EFI from this 302 i got out of an 89 F-150. One problem, too many wires to keep track of. I can't take out the computer yet until I try to figure out where the heck all the wiring harness wires are going. Need help:icon_confused:

An 89 f150 ought to be relatively simple. There will probably be a relay power switched supply to the computer and the computer wiring harness will connect to every sensor on the engine, transmission and exhaust, other than that it ought to be completely seperate from the vehicle wiring harness, other than the wires for the starter, ignition coil, and gauge leads.

Basically they are 2 seperate harnesses so the manufacturer can put different motors in each truck.

Get a wiring diagram for your Ranger and for the truck you're pulling the motor from. You can order them from www.helminc.com .
