I was driving back from lunch and noticed a big yellow truck on a stand at a car dealer I was driving past and looked and it said "Tonka", I thought no, that was just my mind playing tricks on me, I didn't pay attention to the type of dealer so thought oh it was probably a Toyota, okay a big looking one, but Toyota and between the quick glance and color I read it wrong.

So as I drive I think, isn't the Toyota dealer on the other side of the road? or was that Honda?

I decide I have to check this out for my own sanity. So I turn off the highway onto the feeder road and go back to the car dealer. It was a Ford dealer and yes the truck did in fact say Tonka. Several places on it, including it being embossed into the front bumper. It still had a ford oval in the grill.

I did a google search and sure enough there is a F-150 Tonka edition. I don't know how many are out there or what the sticker price is. It is pretty cool looking tho. I didn't see any mention of it here (I could have missed it if it was) so thought I would mention it.

It looked a bit large for a F-150 but trucks seem so large these days so I am guessing it is one of those F-150 unless they came up with heavier duty versions of it. I'll post some pictures this evening when I get a chance.

I saw one down here in Florida going up I-95 last week it sure Got my attention it was going in the opposite direction I couldn't see what make it was but it was big yellow truck with black Tonka written on it. Looked kind of cool I wish I could've got a better look at it up close.

A couple of years ago I saw a ranger with the tonka emblems on it. Pretty neat.

This last pic is a blown up area of the rear so somewhat fuzzy. This is what caught my eye driving past. I didn't look at what was on the tailgate however

If they are willing to take the faker ranger for a one for one trade I'd take one of these.

I think I saw 2 of these at the dealership near me - one yellow and one black.

If they really wanted it to look like a Tonka truck though they should've used the flat black grille and bumpers of an XL for it - that's how the Tonka trucks I had as a kid looked anyways.

The big question on this thing is is it just a standard F-150 with a lift and a body kit stuck on it, or does it have some actual performance enhancing mechanical upgrades too?

From what I see they say it has a 6" suspension lift, heavy duty suspension and a 350 horsepower 5.0L Engine. I don't know what is normal with the 5.0L these days so can't say if that is anything special. Doesn't sound super special there.

Local dealer here has one too. I want to say the price tag was $64k. I looked it over and didn't find anything special other than lift and body kit.

This truck is running around at a town about an hour away from me. If it was just painted yellow.

Man!!! That is an ugly yellow truck!!! I wonder what it would look like in a silver shade??

Big...Ugly...Tonka...Truck..

Honey, does this paint make my BUTT look fat?

I used to work with a guy that was partially colorblind and had a Ranger Edge that color.

He said when he went shopping it was black/white and a bunch of different shades of gray... and yellow for color options.

Much better in Silver, Bro!!!! That yellow is gross!!!!

Yellow with chrome does not go well. If was black instead of chrome it would look much better. That thing is pretty much a mall crawler you buy from the dealership lol.
