Todays weather

Amen. I was going to reply to @JohnnyO that I didn’t believe he didn’t have an air compressor, but then I understood what the real problem was.
Actually my little one broke and the big one I took from my father-in-law’s house when he died I just found out it doesn’t have a tire chuck.

Fun getting out of my mom's driveway tonight.

people take them out when they break and just leave the motor with wire plugged in so the computer still thinks they are there and doesn't throw a check light

Cemetery hadn’t been plowed for a while so I stopped to take a poser pic. I had just driven through a medium-sized snow drift. Temp was -3* this morning.

When I lived in Ohio, cities plowed their streets and businesses had their parking lots plowed.

Here in Texas, many cities don't plow their streets, and businesses don't clear their lots. Where I live, the road going through town in a state highway, so Texas DOT plows it, but they down plow the turning lane. So, making any left turns is an adventure. I went to the grocery store and Dollar General and I'm trudging through 4-6-inches of slush to get to the door.

I don't like cold, but I used to love plowing snow, and I like the challenges of snow. But I still like it when people take care of their street and parking lots.

State is probably under equipped and just trying to cover the main part of the road and circle back and get the turn lanes and whatnot.

The highway my gravel road meets has a turning lane, Iowa DOT plows the main lane, turning lane and shoulder... which makes for a big mountain to claw thru until the county plows my gravel road. The state trucks have a kicker blade in the middle so they can do two lanes in one pass.

SC didn't really do too bad of a job, for being a southern state. I think my road got plowed, but it happened late in the game. Even though it's still fairly cold, things are cleaning up pretty good
We still have hard-packed ice on secondary roads in spots where they are shaded and don't get much sun. My driveway is finally 99% clear. And, the Ranger's wipers finally went home to their parked position. No blown fuse.

It will be interesting to see what happens with this weekend's storm. So far, they're predicting snow and not much sleet or freezing rain. Too bad I have to work this weekend.

State maintained secondary roads and beyond haven’t really been touched here yet. My buddy in town said the road in front of his house got plowed on Monday but as of last night the alley behind his house where his garage is hasn’t been plowed. I’m also already hearing that there’s salt shortage…

Ran my snowblower in the yard to clear a spot for my dog to do his business. He's tall and we have a boot contraption for him but he has a painful foot condition called SLO and the snow and cold has been uncomfortable for him.
Frozen dog poop makes a helluva racket when they go through the snowblower.

Speaking of, I know I have to take it to the shop for a new starter rope but it has an electric start also. Except tonight the starter wasn't engaging. Luckily I know enough about engines to roll it around in gear to move the flywheel and eventually found a spot where it caught.
