A storm moved onshore from the southwest and warmed the temperature from 45 yesterday to a balmy 60 this afternoon. Also, more rain.

We got about 3"-4" of snow and the temperature never got above 18 degrees that I'm aware of. With all the snow cleanup, movement is warmth, even with snow removal machines, I was warm the whole time and was even sweating a little. The machines just make things go quicker and not blow out my back in the process. They are still a bit of a work out to run.

We got about 6” of snow overnight… that wasn’t being called for. I had heard a dusting to an inch. Wake up to 6” or so. Happy New Year, here’s some snow…

Wednesday it's going to be 62, Thursday it's going to be 59, and Saturday it's going to be 19 with a chance of 5-8 inches of snow. LOL.

Texas does not handle snow and ice very well. Maybe I'll get to play in the snow.

We are about the same. I think it was 6 on the way into work. They are calling for winds later to make it even better. When did we move to Iowa?

It was 10 when I came in this morning and 18 as of right now. Think it is supposed break freezing today sometime. Some forecasts are predicting up to 12 inches of snow this weekend. That usually means freezing rain for 2 or 3 days and ice and wrecks everywhere. Fingers crossed it is snow. Either way. I miss summer hahaha

"Wintry mix" coming here this weekend. I would prefer all snow. It's going to be a mess. Better stock up on tequilla and nachos or beer and chicken wings. Forget that bread and milk stuff.

about 3 now, didn't get as cold as predicted.
was outside about midnight looking for auroras, nothing showed up.
just fed the birds and other critters, not too bad in the sunshine.

It’s been low to mid 40s here in the daytime, very sunny, and at night 35° or so. It’s supposed to rain Thursday Friday, with a high of like 35. Saturday night to Sunday we’re supposed to have a wintry mix, with a low of 16°

I’ll just stay home. It’ll all pass in a day. I grew up in New Jersey and upstate New York, and I think I still remember how to drive in the snow, but I’m surrounded 1,000,000 country boys with four-wheel drives that can’t wait to prove that they really don’t work any better than anything else on a sheet of ice.

I might get to put the Missing Linc in four-wheel-drive for the third time since I bought it in 2020. Big Red F250 is too big a target to try.
