Todays weather

It's a balmy 20 degrees here this morning...

we got 'ya beat, 24 and light snow.
was out to my favorite Pizza Hut yesterday, 'twas worth the 35 mile drive thru the frozen fields.

Starting to see some seasonable weather here. In the high teens low 20s.

Had to put heat tape on the propane regulator to keep the condensation from freezing. Also kitchen pipes, and outlet pipe for the sump pump froze.

Supposed to be above 50 next week.

I use a battery blanket wrapped around the base of the tank, (the type that plugs in). Never had to do the regulator. Down to -45C or so

Drove home in a "snow squall" wqrning... that's a new term for me.

But the silver lining... I haven't seen any @Ranger850's yet, so I have that going for me.

Good thing they warned you. It looks like you found one.

I didn't know what it was, it was kind of scary really. It was more than a flurry but not quite a blizzard.

So I drove home in 2wd.

I guess if you have that many people that ask, it's a good thing sonce they normally don't have to deal with it. Bad when they do and don't know what to do.

I just thought it was funny since you mentioned it and there it was on the big Omaha gossip page.

was a “warmer” day today, high of 24, the ranger started with no problem, stumbling or miss. Snow supposed to be coming in tonight/tomarow morning. Lots of hype on the tv about it. eh- we will see I guess, hope not much, going to look at a’09 escape.

was a heat wave here, I did not expect it. Was nearly noon before I got outside, but then worked till dark on the truck. Got through the heater hoses and the evaporator all removed in one piece, but left the compressor and pulled it separate, a good day for me that I did not expect :)
Also got the exhaust broken loose from the tailpipes and now ready to get after the exhaust pipe

woke up to snow, still lightly snowing. Its not a lot, can still see the grass. every school in the county has closed again. Such wimps. such overhype. “too cold” but yet a local park with a big sled hill has quite a crowd. My drive home earlier this week was dangerous because there was so much salt on the road (but no snow) it was like trying to stop on marbles.
