So much nicer without the wind, the furnace could keep up today. Warmer is a high of nothing... and at this point it don't sound half bad!

It's a balmy 10 here with what looks to be about 2 inches of snow. Supposed to snow till Tuesday morning. With the warmest day in the 20s and then more snow come Thursday night. Let's see how many people I have to pull out this morning on my way in to work haha

3 above this morning, truck almost wouldn’t start. will be a chilly day at work.

Yesterday was 5 degrees here. Almost wouldn't start when I went to my favorite restaurant/bar last evening. Took like nine hits and some playing with the gas pedal to get it running. When I left the establishment after four hours, it started right up. Odds Bodkins!

RV living at its finest....
If you ever have to heat with propane at these temperatures, wrap a battery blanket around the propane tank and plug it in. It really helps...
I remember as a kid, having issues with the cattle waterer freezing in this weather. Taking the tiger torch out to heat it up. When the propane would slow down, turning the torch on the tank to get things going again. Once the torch was running good again, resumed heating the water trough.

It got down to 8 last night. It looks like the next two nights are going to be about the same. Day time is going to float around the high teens, low twenty's. Still on the low side but more normal for around here. We're normally in the high twenty's, low thirty's during the day with some dips here and there.

My vehicles typically don't have an issue starting, even in the single digit weather but I hate the cold. So, I plug in the trucks every chance I get just so they will warm up faster. The extension cords are plugged into one of those thermacube devices they sell at feed stores so the extension cords aren't energized when they don't need to be. IIRC, they turn on at 35* and shut of somewhere around 40*-45*.

I used to have a light fixture mounted under the hood with a regular 75W bulb that I would plug in when it got really cold, havent had that setup in a long time, A regular block heater would be a good thing to have. When I went to leave work it didn’t want to fire on all 4 at first but after about a minute it settled down & smoothed out. I used to have the same issue if it sat for a couple of weeks without being started no matter what the weather.

It snowed last night and than warmed up to 31
