Does anyone know if Installing a volt meter in my truck will void any kind of warranty? Its only a few wires. The lack of an oil pressure and Volt meter are driving me insane. All i've got is the Fuel gauge and Temp. I know I ordered a barebones truck but....

I can't speak for the Ford techs but at the Chrysler dealer where I work it would be no big deal. Unless there is some kind of failure that was caused by your modifications nobody would care. We had a guy with a supercharged Challenger come in and they warrantied a trans and a diff before they finally told him that was enough and he was paying for anything else that broke.

Yea, I doubt you would have any issues with that stuff. Just install it correctly and neatly.

If it did cause some problem with the wiring you would be hooped, but aside from that there are no issues.

We have diesel owners all the time adding pillar pods and gauges to their trucks.

Ok thanks guys good to know. I like being able to monitor my engine and the current gauge setup doesn't really let me do that.

ford would have to prove the modifications were a direct cause of the problem. so no, you'll be ok.

ive had my truck in a few times. last time, a upper ball joint/control arm under warranty. while running 33's and a 4" lift with an E-Fan, a stereo, aftermarket lights, cb radio. lol i even told em, dont plug it in and update it, theres a power tune on it right now.

"ok" says the advisor lol.

The general rule is that Ford has to prove that your part caused a Ford part to fail before it becomes a non-covered repair. Unless you really bugger up the install, you are fine.

Alright sounds good. Yep Actually just remembered reading a few months Ago in the 4 wheel offroad magazine which i'm sure some of you are familiar of...the F150 for the ultimate adventure had a bad tranny in the end and ford replaced it under warranty after all that beating.

I'll just make sure I run the wires neat and put everything together properly.
