We have a TK-4 4 speed and it having problems going from 2 to 3rd. It seems like when you are in second, you can bring the shifter back up between 1st and 2nd than move it over to 3rd, it works of. But when going from 2nd directly to 3rd, it won't go into 3rd. Again, you have to go from 2nd to the space between 2nd and 1st, than over to 3rd.

WE pulled the shifter off and it looks ok. Will be removing that pan to see if we can see anything wrong. Anyone ran across something like this before?

i have seen that with a tk-5. try pulling the shifter
up a little. if that fixes it, there is a rubber spring
thing missing at the base of the shifter. a slit piece of
heater hose and a hose clamp will hold the shifter up.

I will give that a try. Pulled the cover off it the shift forks have over .020 clearences in them. According to the book, It's wore out.
