What size tire can if fit on a 15x7 rim? And will that size fit on my truck (3" bl and torsion crank)?

Another thing... What kind of tires should I get? I have Cooper STTs and they are great in the mud and snow. I love that but I think that they are a bit too loud (yes I know that m/t tires aren't supposed to be quiet) I would like to stick with a M/T but I don't know what will fit on the rims i have (explorer rims) Could I go with a 32x11.50x15? Price doesn't matter right now, I just want opinions.

Thanks

I ran 33's on stock 15x6 rims. Tell me you can't.

Tell you what, you will never pop a bead, that is for damn sure.

whatever, my point is that you can fit bigger than 235s on 15x7s

You could clear 33's quite nicely but on a 7" wide rim you don't really want anything wider than 10.5, maybe 11.5 but I have heard of people running a 12.5 on a 7" you just get more sidewall roll and it might be harder to keep them wearing evenly that way.

Note, just because you can run a tire on a specific size rim doesn't mean you should.

I did it for budget reasons. Same reason I welded the rear axle, cheap trail truck.

Yeah, I get that, I know that the biggest recommended size is a 10.5 on a 7" wide. I was just seeing if it could work with 32x11.50s because I can get a deal on some Goodyear MT/Rs in that size.
Thanks for the help... Anyone have any opinion on what kind of tires I should get? or just go with the MT/Rs?

I would stick with the STTs, that is a phenominal tire.
The new KM2s from BFG are nice too.

I'd be sticking with the STTs but, they get expensive in bigger sizes. I found 35x12.5R15 KM2s for $180/ea.

I've got the STT on my Explorer and they suck in the snow, I've found myself sliding through quite a few intersections even with the ABS.

I don't understand the debate on the tire's height in relation to rim width...

You need to be concerned about the tires width compared to the rim's width. Tire height won't matter, until you start talking about backspacing and fitment issues.
