I just bought some new Mickey Thompson Baja MTZ 33x12.5x15 tires, and matte black black rock rims for my 00' ranger. Not sure whether I want to put the white lettering out or the black lettering out. If any one has any pictures of their wheels and tires feel free to share pictures to help me decide which way I want to go about mounting them. Also have 6" lift kit to be installed soon!
Picture is truck sitting stock.

I'm always a black letter out guy. But with the right tires wheels and truck color, white letters out can look good.

I think in your case white out would look better, if the lettering looks good.

Definitely white out on a white truck. I'd still probably go white out regardless because I like the contrast.

I like mine white letters out!!!

if its just for looks white letters out. If its going to be used off road then white letters in. Unless you love scrubbing each letter by hand with a toothbrush to restore the white after each run off road.

I just spray tire cleaner on the tires and use a scrub brush. Just takes a few mon. to clean them. They clean up right away and look new. These tires are over 5 years old now and still look great. They get off road a lot when I tow my flats boat way out in the boonies.

I used to like the lettering inside...now it doesn't matter as much because I haven't had curb rash for decades...living in a big city with tight parking and high curbs will kill the letters faster than off roading...

Off road is a very loose term. The type I am referring to is rubbing the tires against rocks and trees, or burring them above the letters in mud and having to spin them to get through the mud. No amount of tire shine will keep them looking good for long in off road situations like that.

If youre just trekking down some dirt roads slamming puddles they will clean up easy. Just depends what kind of look you want and the conditions the tires will be used in.

Black out. Dont have to worry about keeping the white decent looking. Tire scuff is what they are talking about. You can kinda see it in the pic I posted of my Ranger.

Well, I should clarify...since I don't do serious off road driving (or even non serious for that matter) I should have said "in my case..."

I can see where rocks and mud spin would destroy lettering pretty quick...but to me curbs are like rocks and I off road on them quite a bit in big cities...:)

Ok thanks guys it was tough decision but I'm gonna go with the white letters out, based on the fact that my trucks white and my shocks are white and it'll show off the tire a little more. Thanks for the pictures though I really appreciate it.
