Tire sizing question

I have a 92 ranger single cab 2wd on stock 14's . Im not trying to get to crazy with it but would like to run some tires that will handle off road a bit more. I have checked the forums and found this page...

My question is how bad would the rubbing be?...and/or what would need to be done to get these Interco tires on the truck...

a lock right and a winch should be considered.


i would run a 30 in swamp in the rear and some narrow all terrain 225's up front.

No way would I spend the money on Swampers for a 2wd just to get a little better traction.

I've ran these on a car and they stuck like glue. I would love to try a set on a ranger. They are smaller though.

I am a big fan of the Spartan locker. I run a Yukon grizzly but my next low hp rearend will get a spartan.

Frank with those tires how do they hold up when you not on snow/ice...id be more on asphalt/sand/ and mud. and 225/70/14 is actually the largest size i know of that I can fit stock on this thing. thinking about leveling the front end as well. Any help on how to choose the right locker for my truck/needs?

I drove them daily and to Nashville. I was never easy on that car I used it like a truck and ran it within an inch of its life on and Offroad. I even made creek crossings over the floorboards. Got compliments on the tires all the time.

yeah, frank is right. unless your in a specific worst case situation with mud, driving swampers on pavement a majority of the time is cruel.

duratracs or maybe those retreads would be a smarter choice.
