Hi,

I am new to the forums here.

I have a 4-wheel, 97' Ranger and with no lift (my dad may have lifted it with hockey pucks way back). But for the sake of the question, none.

Looking at some used winter tires for the season and wondering if i can fit 255/70 R16s onto it? If not then what is the upper limit i can keep in mind on my search?

Thanks a lot,

yes you can. a stock 4x4 can run up to 32" tires without any rubbing. My friend has a purple one with 32" MTR's.

265/75/16 is about a 32. you wont have a problem. now the shop might not like them on there, and may refuse. i put 32's on my stock 2wd ranger with no rubbing, being told i couldnt fit 31's. Ive proved to myself that just because someone spits it out, doesnt mean its near true.
