Tire Selection

I need some good tires for my truck. I was looking at the Goodyear Wrangler Silent Armor or the Yokohama Geolander. Got any other suggestions. I mainly use mine for road and a little off road when I get a chance. We do get snow here. Last year we got hit with like a foot in a day.

i think you'd be disappointed with the Geolanders. i was with the ones i had. honestly, i'd check wal-mart. they're getting in some nice looking treads from Goodyear and others that might be more to your liking. and don't forget the online sites like TireRac, Discount Tire, etc.

I got these Hankook Dynapro ATm RF10s. I'm really really impressed with them. I was out on some pretty nasty trails last weekend, they did every bit as well as my buddies BFG ATs (for about $200 less) I think I paid $564 shipped from discount tire direct for 245/75/16s. They're no mud tire but, I'm impressed.

I ran some Sport King AT tires, was a lil suspicious of 'em when I first got 'em, but I got prolly close to 50k out of 'em. And on my 2wd Ranger they took me places that I couldn't believe. Unfortunately, they've jacked up the prices so they're no longer a real cheap tire, they cost about what a BFG AT cost (but IMHO, they perform better).

I'm gonna be looking for some winter treads here before much longer, just need to get the tire fund filled up again. I'll report back with what I find in my search.
