Tire Question

I don't think that's a good idea. The difference in tire diameters is huge. The 235/70 has an approximate diameter of 28.9 inches, the 205/55 has an approximate diameter of 24.8 inches. That's a difference of 14.1%. That translates to a 16.4% speedometer error. If your going 60 MPH with the lower profile tire on your truck, the speedometer will read 69.8 MPH

If your speedometer reads 60 MPH then you are actually only going 50.2 MPH.

Too big a difference.

Other the the speed, will it affect the truck in any way. I got the tires free and I need them for this winter. Money is tight will buy new winters next year

Might mess with ABS or an auto trans, both options that are awful and shouldn't really have ever been put on cars anyway.

Shouldn't hurt anything.
