i got 285 75 16s the door says 30 psi the tire says max 65psi what should i run them at or if anyone is doing the same thing what they keep them at thanks

keep the tires inflated to what the door jam says otherwise you will wear out the center prematurly. the tire says 65 psi because it needs to hold up to the demands of 3/4 and one ton trucks

Usually I just run 34psi up front and 30psi in the rear. That's a pickup unloaded.

If I have the rear loaded down, a little more air gets pumped in. Just 2 weeks ago when scrapping I had 1,000# in the bed and aired them to 45psi to compensate.

tire pressure is proportional to load. there is a maximum load stamped on the side of that tire too, probably somewhere near 3,000lbs...meaning if you had 12,000lbs on all 4 of those tires (maximum load), you would inflate them all to 65PSI.

since your empty truck only weighs about 3,000lbs...you need considerably less pressure to hold it up.
